Summary of the role
This role involves implementing care plans by providing physical, social and emotional care in client’s own homes.
Responsibilities
- Communicating effectively with the clients and colleagues to ensure you follow the IRC Care services policies and procedures when carrying out your work
- Keeping accurate records of your time with the client for easy accountability
- Assisting with Medication and ensuring proper administration
- Monitoring clients medical condition by measuring temperature, pulse rate, respiration and weight
- Assist with daily activities such as dressing and undressing, bathing and using the toilet and
- Serve meals to service users and assist with feeding if required;
- Undertake light cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as required
- Engaging clients through socializing and leisure activities
- Maintaining awareness of the client’s emotional and spiritual needs
- Observing and following the IRC Care services Health and Safety policy
Qualifications
Experience in general care
Fluency in English (Reading, writing, Listening and Speaking)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A full driving license
